ACCOMPLISHED musician Susan Collier returns to Frinton to play in memory of her late father Derek who was a virtuoso violinist and enthusiastic supporter of the town’s Music at St Mary’s concerts.
Derek always played the first concert of the summer series and after his death in 2008 his daughter came to the town to perform in his honour.
Susan comes to town today***23***with her musical son Jacob and her friends Robert Thompson and Sarah Colley to play at the lunchtime concert at St Mary’s Church in Frinton at 1.15pm.
Encouraged by her father, Susan started playing at the age of two. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music and became the youngest violin professor in their junior department. She has since then been awarded an ARAM for outstanding services to the violin profession.She conducts the Chamber Orchestra RAMJD and plays in the folk tango fusion band Scaramouche.
