AT the June meeting, Chris Winter entertained members with his anecdotes about “growing old disgracefully”.
President Anne Massingham gave an interesting report about the AGM in Cardiff which she had attended on members’ behalf. Anne had enjoyed the speakers and particularly the choir, Men Aloud, which had concluded the meeting by leading the ladies in singing Land of my Fathers in Welsh.
The competition was for a piece of treasured clothing, and there was a great variety of items on show.
The next meeting is on July 14 when Tina Oldfield will speak about her trek for life. The competition is for a favourite holiday souvenir.
