ON January 20 John Robinson brought his magic Lantern to show us pictures of East Anglia as it was many years ago. John told us how he first became interested in magic lanterns and began to collect the glass slides. He is a member of the Magic Lantern Society and is still able to buy the old slides through his contacts.
It was very interesting to see scenes of days gone by with horses and carriages and people sitting on the beach dressed in their long skirts and boaters.
The next meeting will be on February 17 when Jim Clarke will tell us of his experiences when helping to organise marathons.
Meetings aare held in the Parish Room at 7.30pm on the third Tuesday of each month. Visitors are always welcome.
