YVONNE and Lynn welcomed old members and a new member to the Red Triangle Hall on October 7. Among the reports was one saying that Win Newton is home from hospital so we hope to see her back with us soon.

After tea and biscuits members played a friendly game of hoy.


Gunfleet W.I.

OUR speaker for the last meeting was keep-fit trainer Jean Quinn who took us through some exhilarating exercises.

It was reported that items are needed to fill shoe boxes to send to our troops serving abroad, and that we would like to send delegates to the National AGM at the Royal Albert Hall.

Janet will take a wreath to the remembrance service in November and Brenda told us the arrangements for the Christmas party on December 10 and the trip to Denham in February.


Tea, Talk and Talent.

AT the October meeting members settled down to listen to poetry recited by Roz Hall.

The club are still collecting one and five pence pieces to go towards the church restoration fund. So far about £300 has been raised.

At the next meeting on November 14, 2.30pm, each member will be given a handkerchief to embroider.
