An Essex school is celebrating its first Ofsted report after becoming an academy three years ago.
Elmstead Primary, in Holly Way, Elmstead Market, has been given two strong standard and five expected standard ratings in its latest inspection.
The school, which has just over 200 pupils, became an academy at the end of 2023.
Ofsted inspectors assessed the school during a routine inspection in June, with the results published yesterday (September 10).
They gave the school strong standard ratings for the early years and personal development and wellbeing categories.
It received expected standard results for the achievement, attendance and behaviour, curriculum and teaching, inclusion and leadership categories.

The report says: "Pupils enjoy coming to school and are well prepared for the next stage of their education. From the early years onwards, pupils develop a love of learning, independence and resilience.
"These qualities strengthen as they move through the school. Pupils are eager to share their achievements, taking pride in what they have learned and created.
"Staff understand pupils' individual barriers to learning, particularly for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities.
"They use effective strategies to ensure that pupils are ready to learn and can access learning successfully."
The watchdog said the school should continue the work in place to keep improving.
The report said: " Leaders should continue their work to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies they put in place for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
"Leaders should continue to prioritise the teaching of handwriting to ensure that pupils develop fluent and consistent handwriting skills over time.
"Leaders should ensure that the small number of pupils who sometimes do not meet the school's high expectations for behaviour during lessons are supported to do so."
This school is part of Penrose Learning Trust.
When the educational facility was a school, it consistently received good school reports.
