A go-karting track is set to close in less than two weeks after 24 years of racing.
Lakeside Karting in Grays will shut its doors on September 23, following an announcement made last month.
No official reason for the closure has been confirmed, however the site has been earmarked for redevelopment by Google which is planning a new data centre at the former Arena Essex Raceway.

A spokesman for Lakeside Karting said: "After years of close racing, rivalries and battles around the Lakeside circuit, we’re down to the last two grids ever.
"If you’ve raced in our league over the years, this is your last chance to get back on the grid and have one final battle around Lakeside.
"And on the 23rd… when that chequered flag drops, that really is it.
"We’re expecting both dates to be busy, so please get booked in ASAP.
"Two races left.
"Who’s joining us for the final one?"
The final two races will take place on Thursday, September 17, and Wednesday, September 23, with entry priced at £69.
Lakeside Karting first opened in September 2002 and has since welcomed thousands of visitors.
The team has confirmed that Brentwood Karting will remain open for those who wish to continue racing.
In a statement last month, the spokesman said: "It’s a strange thing to write.
"We’ve watched thousands of you come through the gates over the years: first-time drivers, families, birthday groups, mates taking things far too seriously, regulars chasing another tenth and some seriously quick racers.
"We’ve seen people grow up racing here.
"We’ve had customers come back year after year, and we’ve been lucky enough to have a brilliant group of staff and drivers become part of Lakeside along the way."
