AN Essex artist is set to display her work at exhibitions in Walton and Castle Hedingham.
Kerrie Creighton was invited to show her work following an exhibition at The Minories in Colchester.
Her upcoming exhibitions take place at the Naze Tower in Walton and the Wonky Wheel Gallery in Castle Hedingham.
The Naze Tower exhibition runs from September 12 to November 1 and will showcase Kerrie’s Tide and Time Collection, which explores history and place through layered mixed media.
Kerrie said: "Every piece is based on a place i have visited and historic finds.
"As with all my artwork - I hide small finds in the pieces which sometimes requires magnifying glasses to spot!
"I love that in the layers of paint there are layers of history, some completely hidden from view in an underlayer and others hidden amongst rushes, trees and sand.
"Everything is about connecting to our past and respecting it, with a hope that it inspires respect for our present and our future.
"It feels like such an honour to have my work featured amongst so many wonderful artists."
Kerrie's second exhibition will be held at the Wonky Wheel Gallery from October 13 to November 9.

As part of the show, she will host a Meet the Artist workshop on Thursday, October 29, featuring half-term activities.
Kerrie said: "I will be bringing my finds and my microscopes and talking about the finds with children and allowing them to hold them and learn about them!
"Of course adults are allowed to too!"
