A Clacton-based entrepreneur is taking her women’s safety initiative to the next level after securing a major collaboration with one of the UK’s biggest beauty retailers.

Victoria Hart, co-owner of XO The Greek in Clacton and founder of Its Girls Powder, has teamed up with the Cosmetics Company Store to deliver a “full glam” event in London that blends beauty with a powerful safety message.

The partnership comes just months after the brand’s launch during Pride weekend in Soho, where Its Girls Powder debuted as a pop-up safe space for women on nights out in the capital.

Sarah from the retailer was the driving force behind the collaboration after recognising the uniqueness of the concept.

She described it as “an amazing idea that has never been done before”, and said the company wanted to play a role in helping safeguard women travelling in London, while also boosting confidence through beauty.

For Victoria, the approach from such a well-known brand marks a turning point.

“This is a massive step in the growth of Its Girls Powder,” she said. “To be approached means we are being taken seriously, and that women’s safety is so paramount.

“With our growing following, this allows us to reach a much wider audience - especially girls travelling into London - while working alongside a worldwide-known brand.”

The event itself promises more than just make-up.

Guests can expect discounted products across major names including Estée Lauder, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Clinique and Too Faced, alongside expert advice from professional make-up artists.

There will also be exclusive early access to a “viral” make-up promotion ahead of its public release, as well as VIP-style treatments linked to the Its Girls Powder pop-up experience.

But at its core, the collaboration remains rooted in the initiative’s founding mission - safety.

Its Girls Powder was created to offer a refuge for women on nights out - a place to charge phones, fix their make-up, rest, or simply feel secure before heading home.

Since launching, the concept has already proven its value.

At its first festival appearance in Weeley, the team provided emergency sanitary products, spare footwear, and a warm environment for those feeling unwell or overwhelmed.

“A few girls that had too much sun and drink were able to relax and recoup with a paramedic or friends, and then get home safely,” Victoria said.

“That’s when the dream really felt realised.”

With backing now from a major beauty name, she believes the initiative can go even further.

“This is a major breakthrough and hopefully the start of many more collaborations,” she said. “We want to work with venues, clubs and festivals that understand our vision - keeping girls safe always.”

Looking ahead, Victoria is clear about her ambition - to make Its Girls Powder a recognised safety net for women everywhere.

“What started as a dream really feels like it’s growing legs,” she said. “I want women to always know they have Its Girls Powder to fall back on, in any situation.”

The full glam event will take place on September 27 from 12pm to 4pm, with tickets available on Eventbrite.
