Romeo and Juliet is heading to the West Cliff Theatre in Clacton.

Shakespeare's famous love story will be staged at 7pm on Thursday, February 5.

This full-scale production will take place in a world of rivalry, rebellion, and forbidden love.

The play sees two lovers torn between loyalty and desire, family and fate as the deadly feud between the Montagues and the Capulets rages on.

A spokesperson said: "Experience Shakespeare’s greatest love story in all its breathtaking intensity, with fierce sword fights, searing emotion, and a romance that burns against the odds."

Suitable for ages 11 plus, the show features choreographed fights, flashing lights (not strobes), use of stage blood, haze and loud noises.

The show will last for three hours including interval.

Tickets cost £21, £19 for students and over 60s and £13 for groups of 10 or more.
