Peter Pan pantomime a hit at Clacton's Princes Theatre

Audiences have praised the production for its 3D effects, circus performers, and dazzling flying sequences.

The show, by Shone Productions, is on at the theatre until December 29.

Gary Scott, councillor responsible for arts, culture and heritage at Tendring Council, said: "Peter Pan has truly brought the magic of Christmas to Clacton this year.

"The creativity and energy on stage are incredible, and the audience feedback speaks for itself.

"If you haven’t booked yet, now is the time – this is a magical show that you and your family won’t want to miss."

Linda G, who left a review on TripAdvisor, said: "A wonderful colourful Christmas panto.

"Lots of laughter and engagement.

"That was our sixth year and already planning for next year."

Len L called the performance a "Peter Pan smorgasbord of fun and laughter," adding: "Absolutely fantastic.

"We would highly recommend to all ages."

This year’s production follows Peter Pan and Tinkerbell on a wild adventure as they battle Captain Hook and his crew while exploring the true meaning of friendship.

The cast is led by Jack Daniels in his pantomime debut as Peter Pan, joined by Georgina Newton as Tink and Daniel Hanton as Mrs Smee.

Nigel Peever takes on the role of Captain Hook.

The show includes a British Sign Language performance on Sunday, December 14 at 3.30pm and a relaxed performance on Thursday, December 18 at 6pm.

Adult-only performances will take place on Saturday, December 27 and Sunday, December 28 at 8pm.
