A GROUP of 30 students from the Pauline Quirke Academy (PQA) had their dreams come true as they performed alongside West End stars in Clacton.
The Manningtree-based students appeared in West End Christmas at the West Cliff Theatre, performing a mix of musical theatre favourites and festive classics.
The cast included professional performers from some of London’s biggest shows, including Mamma Mia!, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, and Wicked.
Gemma Naylor, principal of PQA Manningtree, said: "This incredible opportunity allowed our students not only to experience the magic of a professional stage, but to learn and perform alongside some of the best performers in the industry.
"It’s a moment they will carry with them forever."
The young cast, aged six to 18, were praised for their confident vocals and polished choreography.
The collaboration was designed to support PQA’s mission of giving young people practical, real-world experience in the performing arts.

PQA is a nationwide performing arts academy for children aged four to 18, with more than 250 academies across the country.
The academy offers training in comedy, drama, musical theatre, TV, and filmmaking, helping young people develop both technical and life skills.
