A SCHOOL in north Essex has been named the UK's most outstanding provider for children with moderate learning difficulties.
Market Field School is a special school in Elmstead Market, catering for children aged five to 16.
The school has been named the most outstanding for students with moderate learning difficulties at the Enablement Awards 2025.
Taking place at a ceremony in London, the awards were created to celebrate and reward excellence, innovation and exemplary achievements in the disability sector in the UK.

The awards recognise the rapid growth of the sector and the capacity of people to influence and set new performance standards in a range of areas.
Market Field School headteacher Ruth Whitehead said: “We have never won this award before – it was quite a surprise!
"We have no idea who nominated us, but are really honoured that someone took the time to do so.
“Winning this award is amazing. It is a true affirmation and testament to the hard work of all of our staff who work tirelessly each and every day to better the lives of the fabulous children in our care.”
