A WALTON school is on the look-out for a new teacher as it opens a nursery.

Lift Hamford, in Elm Tree Avenue, has a vacancy for a teacher to work with early years children.

Applicants will be able to start the full-time permanent position in January 2026.

A school spokesperson said: "We're opening a brand new nursery class at Lift Hamford and are looking for a passionate Early Years Teacher to lead the way.

"This is an incredible opportunity to shape and lead our new provision from day one, helping to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners."

The school is looking for someone who can:

  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Inspire young children through creative, play-based learning.
  • Work with families, colleagues and the wider community.

The closing date for applications is October 12.
