A CLACTON dance school will be moving to a larger premises next month.

The Dance Spot is set to move from its base in Gorse Lane to Clacton County High School, in Walton Road.

The move will take place on October 6 to make the area more accessible for dancers in Clacton.

Dance Spot founder Bradley Higgins said: "The move is about making our classes more accessible and central in town for families so that more young people can enjoy the benefits of dance.

"We are proud of the progress so far and the opportunities our students are creating for themselves.

"At its heart the Dance Spot is about community, helping kids build confidence, stay active, and belong to something positive."

The Dance Spot prides itself on the unique range of choreography and hip hop freestyle lessons for advanced dancers and beginners.

Mr Higgins said: "Since opening in Clacton in 2024, the Dance Spot has grown into a home for authentic hip hop dance training.

"Our students have already achieved top placings at major competitions including United Dance Organisation, British Dance Organisation, Street Dance International, Soar, Unified Essex and more."

Weekly classes include:

  • Mondays: hip-hop (5.30–6.30pm), freestyle training (6.30pm-7.30pm), adults hip-hop (7.30pm-8.30pm for adult ex-dancers returning to dance)
