LIFT Clacton students are celebrating their GCSE and BTEC results.
The school introduced several initiatives to help students prepare for their exams, including a period 6 intervention programme, study residentials, and sprint weeks focused on English and maths.
Some of the top performers include Ayomide Akanbi, who achieved three grade 9s in English language, history, and sociology, a Level 2 Distinction, a 7, two 6s, and three 5s.
Archie Cray achieved a grade 8 in chemistry, a Level 2 Distinction, a Level 2 Merit, two grade 7s, three 6s, a 5, and a 4.
Deborah Ariyo received three grade 7s in English language, English literature, and history, four grade 6s, and three 5s.
Andrew Podorski achieved a Level 2 Distinction in IT, five grade 6s, three 5s, and a Level 2 Pass.
Lily Cann received five grade 9s in chemistry, English literature, history, mathematics, and physics, four grade 8s, and a grade 7.
Sophie Lin achieved six grade 9s in biology, chemistry, geography, mathematics, physics, and statistics, two Level 2 Distinctions, a 7, and a 6.
Hope Stebbing received six grade 9s in English language, English literature, German, history, physics, sociology, and Spanish, two 7s, two 6s, and a 5.
Serenity Porter achieved a grade 9 in mathematics, four 8s in biology, business, chemistry, and sociology, three 7s, and a 6.
Tong Xin Lin received two grade 9s in Chinese and sociology, six grade 8s, one grade 7, and two grade 6s.
These students were in their last year at primary school when the pandemic began, which impacted their start to secondary education.
Lift Clacton principal, Marc Cologne, said: "This has been a challenging time for our GCSE students and I am so proud of the results they have achieved.
"This particular year group is very special to me, as they were the first cohort I had the privilege of working with when I started at the school in September 2020.
"I've had the pleasure of watching them grow and develop over the last five years.
"Across all grades, there are so many wonderful stories of resilience and success, and it's a testament to the hard work they, their families, and our dedicated staff have put in.
"We are delighted to share in their success today and look forward to hearing about their next steps and we can’t wait to welcome so many of them back to continue their journey with us in the Sixth Form."
