THE Fresh Air Festival of Outdoor Arts is returning to Brightlingsea for its fourth year.
The free event takes place from 11am to 5pm on Saturday, September 6 on Promenade Green, and offers outdoor performances and activities for all ages.
Festival director and Brightlingsea resident, Cassie Catchpole, said: "I'm really happy to see FAF grow year on year and new people discover the joys of outdoor arts.
"Brightlingsea is such a brilliant place for the festival.
"There's a fantastic lineup this year that people of all ages will love. I can't wait to share the festival with everyone."
More than 2,000 people attended the event last year.
Mick Barry, councillor responsible for leisure and public realm in Tendring, added: "We're so pleased to have Fresh Air Festival return this year.
"It's been amazing watching it grow over the last few years to become a staple in our town's diary.
"It's so great that this event offers a free day out for all the family where they can experience an eclectic mix of creative art and activities."
The festival is funded by grants from Arts Council England, UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Events Grant via Tendring District Council, Hervey Benham, and The Brightlingsea Wellbeing Fund.
This year's highlights include Daughters of the Dust with ElevateHER, Fairly Famous with The Tennis Show, Darryl J Carrington with Out of the Box, and Casson and Friends with Arcade Mini.
The festival also welcomes the Bureau of Silly Ideas for their third year in a row, introducing their new installation, Shirt or Squirt.
The festival will also include walkabout acts, giant Olympiads, and some roaming bins who are on a mission to cause a mess.

Craft activities will include making your very own pantomime horse and racing it, and a messy slime workshop, amongst other fun and free activities.
Food and drink will be available on site, and free on-street parking and public toilets are within a short walking distance of the festival.
Fresh Air Festival is looking for volunteers to help deliver the event on the ground.
