FAMILIES can look forward to spending the summer
A PADDLING pool and beach is now open for the summer after the completion of renovation works.
The beachfront in Brightlingsea was cleared of seaweed and sand this week with Tendring Council and Brightlingsea Town Council working together.
Mayor of Brightlingsea, Chris Paveley said: “We are delighted that the beach has been renovated to the state which people will find irresistible for spending the day with their children on.
"Combined with our Blue Flag status we look forward to attracting significant numbers into the town."
Brightlingsea recently retained its Blue Flag status for 2025, which signifies beaches that are clean, safe and meet the highest environmental standards.
The coastal town is one of only three with Blue Flag status alongside Frinton and Dovercourt.
In addition, Brightlingsea also kept its Seaside Award - given to beaches that have amenities of a high standard.
