ORGANISERS of a popular BBC gardening event have announced it will take place in Essex this year.
BBC Radio 4’s annual Gardeners’ Question Time Summer Garden Party will be held on August 2 at RHS Garden Hyde Hall, in Chelmsford.
During the spectacular show, two bumper episodes of Gardeners' Question Time will be recorded in front of a live audience.
Members of the public can join an expert panel for a host of horticultural discussions.
Chaired by Kathy Clugston and Peter Gibbs, the panel is packed with show favourites, including James Wong, Matthew Pottage, Bunny Guinness and Pippa Greenwood.
Matthew Wilson, Bob Flowerdew, Christine Walkden and Dr Chris Thorogood will also be on hand with expert knowledge and expertise.
There will be two recordings taking place at 12pm and 2pm.
Both episodes will air on BBC 4 in the following weeks.
Summer Garden Party ticket holders will have the chance to meet the GQT panellists.
Tickets are on sale now via the RHS website and cost £5 in addition to the price of entry to the garden.
Entry to RHS Garden Hyde Hall is free for members and starts from £15.85 for non-members.
