St Osyth Summer Sounds to take place at St Osyth Priory for first time

Bosses at the Arts Trust, the producers of King’s Cross Summer Sounds, have announced a major new festival taking place at St Osyth Priory. 

St Osyth Summer Sounds: Music and Food Festival will take place over two days on August 30 and 31.

Saxophone - YolanDa Brown (Image: YolanDa Brown) Both days will see lots of family crafts, trailer tractor rides around the grounds and dozens of food stalls.

Saturday boasts performances from saxophonist YolanDa Brown who will perform Bob Marley hits, Celidh Tree and Keynotes Gospel Choir.

Eko, a 13-foot long sea giant puppet, will also be parading around the festival.

West End glamour will flourish on Sunday at the event, with Daniel Boys, Oliver Savile, Laura Pitt-Pulford and Gemma Knight-Jones who will stage musical theatre performances. 

There will also be a Chef Stage, hosted by Saturday Kitchen’s Joe Hurd, with MasterChef finalists Madeeha Qureshi and Arbinder Dugal.

Clacton Classic Car Club will also show off some amazing vehicles on the Sunday.

The festival is part of Summer in the Park; a series of festival events and community fun days full of music, dance, theatrical performances and much more.

Adult weekend tickets cost £35 and day tickets cost £20 and family day tickets are £12.
