FOUR singer-songwriters will take part in a Clacton charity event to raise money for cancer research.
Clacton Arts Centre bosses are staging Lounge Aid, a charity night featuring talented musicians.
The event will raise money for Cancer Research UK on June 14, from 7pm, at the Martello Lounge, on Kings Promenade.
Headlining the show is singer-songwriter Grace Calver who will be delighting the audience with her tongue-in-cheek indie pop songs about her life's ups and downs.
Arts centre co-founder Ian McKeown said: "Grace likes to have fun with her songs and takes a light-hearted swipe at the disasters she contributes to.
"It’s her second gig in Clacton as she recently supported Pet Needs at the first Love Music, Hate Racism event at the Loft."
Singer-songwriter Annie Maguire, who counts the likes of Lianne La Havas, Norah Jones and Joss Stone as her inspiration, will also be performing.
Sophie Nash, a singer who can often be seen performing in Colchester, will also be on stage just after acoustic duo Verona from Clacton open the show.
A Clacton Arts Centre spokesman said: "For the whole month the Martello Lounge will be raising money for Cancer Research UK, who fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner, whilst also providing cancer information and support to the public.
"We would love to see you all at the event on Saturday, June 14.
"We have an amazing line-up and it will be helping to raise vital funds for this amazing cause.
"We’ll be collecting donations on the night via buckets and QR code, all in support of our chosen cause."
