A FRIDAY Night Dinner star has announced she will be taking part in one of Frinton's biggest events of the year.
Tamsin Greig, famous for playing Jackie in Friday Night Dinner, will be hosting an evening talk as a part of Frinton Summer Theatre on July 6.
She has also been playing the role of Debbie Aldridge in the BBC radio soap opera The Archers since 1991.
Fresh from her five-star turn in The Deep Blue Sea at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Tamsin will take to the stage in Frinton for an intimate evening of conversation, sharing stories from her illustrious career at the McGrigor Hall.
A spokesman for the event said: "Audiences can expect a night of warmth, wit, and insight, as Tamsin reflects on her life in the arts — from comedic brilliance to profound dramatic roles.
"Whether you're a devoted fan or just discovering her work, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of Britain's finest actors up close in a relaxed and personal setting.
"At a time when regional arts and live performance venues are working hard to rebuild audiences and momentum, events like this underscore the vital role local theatres play in bringing world-class talent to smaller towns.
"This isn’t just a celebrity appearance — it’s a celebration of theatre, storytelling, and the value of live performance in communities like Frinton."
Frinton Summer Theatre takes place from July 15 to September 6 and involves six different plays performed over six weeks.
It boasts a whole range of events, with more to be announced.
Tickets cost £40 and can be purchased from www.frintonsummertheatre.org.
