A POND maintenance service is opening a shop in Alresford in a bid to boost customers.
Jay Hall has more than 20 years of experience in pond building and maintenance and now has plans to open a trade counter where customers can discuss their needs with him.
He said it was always a dream to open a shop.
Mr Hall said: “We decided to open a trade counter so people can actually come and talk about their ponds, water features and fish tanks.
“I’ve always wanted to create an old trade counter shop where people can come in, relax, have a cup of tea and talk about their ponds.
“We do all the setting up and maintenance of all aspects of indoor and outdoor ponds and we’re going to start selling some dry goods as well.
“If somebody was to walk in today, we can basically do the design, the installation and the maintenance, so we’re a bit of a one-stop shop.
“The mobile side of things has gone really well, and we’ve gone from strength to strength, so now we thought it was time to try and look at opening this up where people can discuss their fishy issues.
“There aren’t many people who can say they do their hobby as a job and we’re very passionate about what we do.”
An open day will take place at the Orchard Business Units, Cockaynes Lane, on May 3, from 10am.
