Nominations are now open for the 2025 Tendring Youth Awards.
The awards aim to celebrate the remarkable achievements of young people in Tendring, as well as recognise the adults who support them.
Now in their ninth year, the awards are seeking nominations for young individuals who live, study or work in the area.
The awards ceremony will take place at Clacton's Princes Theatre in July.
This year, the awards are sponsored by Harwich Haven Authority, Haltermann Carless, Tendring Council, and Essex County Council.
There are various award categories, such as Young Lifesaver, Community Improvement, Environmental Initiative, and the Unsung Hero award for adults who support young people.
These categories acknowledge accomplishments in academics, community work and environmental efforts, among others.
Nominations are welcome for both individuals and groups, such as youth organisations.
The deadline for nominations is April 17, after which a panel of judges will compile a shortlist of finalists.
Tendring Youth Awards chairman Karen O’Connor commended the remarkable achievements of young people in the community.
She said: "Every year, we meet some truly extraordinary young individuals, and I am eagerly anticipating this year’s nominations.
"This event thrives on community support, so I urge everyone to think about the young people they know and nominate them for a Tendring Youth Award.

To nominate someone for a Tendring Youth Award, complete the online nomination form on the Tendring Council website or request a form via thetendringyouthawards@gmail.com.
Alternatively, completed forms can be posted to Tendring Youth Awards (Nominations), Town Hall, Clacton, CO15 1SE.
The youth awards are looking for volunteers to join its committee at the annual general meeting.
The AGM, at Clacton Town Hall on February 25 at 5.30pm, provides an opportunity for people to learn more about the awards and get involved.
