FIREFIGHTERS attended to a fire which they believe was caused deliberately.
Crews were called to a grass fire in Garons Park in Southend at 5.48pm tonight.
Two crews from Southend and one from Shoeburyness were in attendance.
On arrival, firefighters confirmed that approximately two hectares of grass and heathland were alight.
The fire was extinguished by 6.20pm using hose reels and water backpack.
A representative from the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: “We believe this fire may have been caused deliberately.”
