A SEASIDE entertainment venue which has staged an annual show for more than 125 years is preparing to stage the extravaganza’s latest incarnation.

The West Cliff Theatre’s hallmark Summer Show, which is now in its 127th year, will run on selective days from August 10 until August 27.

The traditional variety spectacular with a modern twist, a co-production between the venue and AJL Theatrical, will boast all the glitz and glamour of showbusiness.

The event at the Clacton complex, in Tower Road, will feature Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist and magician Christian Lee, as well as instrumentalist Andy Eastwood.

The former will be joined by his fiancée Helen Farrell who is also one of the singers set to contribute to the overall soundtracking of the special show.

Rob Mitchell-Gears, theatre manager, said: “We are back and cannot wait for people to see our amazing show.

“We always have fabulous costumes, amazing dance routines and some great set pieces.

“There is something for everyone in the show, which is created with a lot of love by the whole team.

“And for every adult ticket purchased, a child gets in free. So, it is also great value for money.”

Tickets for the show, costing £19 for adults and £17 for over 60s, can be purchased by visiting westcliffclacton.co.uk.
