HOUSE prices in north Essex increased in May, new figures have revealed.
Data published by Land Registry shows the value of properties in Tendring and Colchester both went up by more than two per cent.
In Tendring, the average house price was £272,150, which marked a 2.6 per cent rise compared to April.
Colchester also enjoyed a similar increase, with the average property value being £314,644, signalling a growth of 2.1 per cent on the previous month.
Over the last year, the average sale price of properties rose by £39,000 in Tendring and £41,000 in Colchester.
