A MAN has been slapped with a suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and speeding.

Darren Sadler, 43, of High Street, Harwich, was found to be driving a Renault Trafic illegally on September 20 in The Street, Sheering.

He was subsequently charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance, speeding after exceeding a 30mph speed limit and driving while disqualified.

Sadler admitted all of the offences during a court hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on October 12.

He was given a 10 week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 36 months.

Sadler must also now pay a surcharge of £128 to fund victim services and a £105 fine to the Crown Prosecution Service.
