THE TENDRING Brass Band will be lifting everyone’s spirits with a long-awaited live performance.

The band will be playing next Sunday at 3pm at the Great Bromley Village Hall.

The concert, which is organised by Great Bromley Parish Council, aims to bring the community together for an afternoon of picnic and live music.

The band was formed in the late 1958 and has recently come 10th in section 2 of the 2021 National Championships of Great Britain.

The group has around 40 members of different ages, all united by the passion of making music.

Parish council chairman Fred Nicholls said:” They are a very well-known band in this area and have quite a following.

“Originally they were going to play at the D-Day celebration but that was put off because of COVID.

“The concert will bring the community together to have an afternoon of enjoyment. It is something for everybody to enjoy.“

Band members have also expressed their excitement.

Tendring Brass secretary Caroline Sanders said: ”We’ve had one concert outside but this is the first concert where we will be going inside.

“The band has really appreciated getting back together to play and we are really looking forward to performing to an audience again.”

Tickets are free but booking is required on 01206230688.
