COASTGUARD crews were called to the seafront, after teenagers were spotted on mudflats.
Southend coastguards received the call at 5.50pm to attend report of three young teenagers on the mud near Bell Wharf, Old Leigh.
They were spotted by a concerned witness, who was running a boot camp in the area.
Upon arrival officers spoke to the witness and scanned the area.
Officers also spoke to teenagers who had been out on the mud.
They informed crews the three peeople in question had already made it safely back to the beach.
Safety advice was provided to those who had ventured out on the mudflats before team stood down.
