MORE THAN half of people in Braintree have now received two doses of a Covid vaccine, figures reveal.

NHS data shows 70,723 people had received both jabs by June 13 – 57 per cent of those aged 16 and over.

Across Braintree, 79 per cent of those aged 16 and over have had one jab.

The area with the highest coverage is Halstead East and Colnes, with 86.1 per cent of people aged 16 and over given their first dose, closely followed by Witham South, Hatfield Peverel and White Notley with 84.4 per cent and Panfield, Finchingfield and Bardfield with 83.7 per cent.
