W.I: LAST month we enjoyed our Christmas party in the hall. We were wonderfully entertained by two of the Ramblers on guitar and banjo, who sang old favourites and told us a few ditties. The festive spirit was in abundance, we sang, ate, drank and were merry! Our next meeting is on February 5, 8pm in the village hall. This will be our sixth birthday party with cheese and wine and entertainment by Andy Craven with Lets Rock'.
Gardening Club: OUR November meeting was Cornish treasures - Eden and Heligan' by Robin Carsberg. This was very interesting with slide shows and details of how they began. Our Christmas party took place on December 18 with a buffet, mulled wine games and a reverse raffle! The next meeting is on January 15 in the village hall and is entitled useful and edible plants in the hedgerow'.
