POLICE in St Helens have shared details of some of the arrests they have made and incidents they have been called to.

On Tuesday (March 31) St Helens Police released details of incidents they had attended over the previous 24 hours.

Incidents included:

  • A woman arrested on suspicion of robbery, who has been released under investigation
  • A man being arrested and charged in connection with a theft at a shop
  • Officers attended a possible burglary at a business premises on Baxters Lane. Police were called to North West Roofing Supplies on Baxters Lane at 12.10am on Tuesday to reports of an alarm. The premises were checked and were secure and no suggestion anyone had entered the building.
  • Officers conducted a search on Prescot Road following reports of men trying car doors
  • Police attended a couple of licensed premises after reports but but no suspicious activity was seen.
  • Officers stopped and searched a man and a woman believed to have been involved in drug supply on Boundary Road
  • Officers conducted a stop and search on a man on Peter Street
