SUPERSTAR gymnast Max Whitlock could end up training in his garage as he bids to secure more Olympic glory.
Whitlock - who won two golds at Rio 2016 - is still training at Basildon’s South Essex Gymnastics Club.
But, with the coronavirus pandemic leading to a number of closures and sporting cancellations, Whitlock is taking nothing for granted.
“We are still training hard for the Olympics,” said Whitlock.
“I’m obviously gutted all the national gymnastics competitions and the Europeans are cancelled but health and safety is paramount.
“I will be bringing my pommel horse home to the garage just in case the gym is shut down.”
Organisers continue to insist this summer’s Olympics, which are being held in Tokyo, will go ahead.
