SOUTHEND United players will train alone for the next seven days due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The EFL has opted to postpone all games until the start of April.

And Blues’ squad will not be at the Boots & Laces training ground this week.

The Shrimpers’ clash at Rotherham United, which had been due to take place on Saturday, did not go ahead and the forthcoming home games against Bolton Wanderers and Sunderland have also been postponed.

As things stand, Blues’ next game will be at Ipswich Town on Saturday, April 4.

But an EFL statement confirmed the situation would continue to be reviewed.

Another statement is expected before the end of the week.

All youth team games have also been postponed.
