THE EFL are meeting this morning to discuss the possibility of suspending the competition due to outbreak of coronavirus.
Southend United are due to head to Rotherham United in League One this weekend.
But there are strong rumours the EFL may decide to stop matches for at least three weeks.
An EFL statement said: “The EFL Board will meet this morning to make a decision on this weekend’s fixtures and beyond.”
“We will keep supporters updated as soon as we receive any further guidance from the EFL.”
