NEIL Warnock feels Southend United boss Sol Campbell has started his managerial career with 'the two toughest jobs' in football.
Campbell was with cash-strapped Macclesfield Town before being appointed Blues boss back in October.
But, with the Shrimpers now also suffering financial problems, Warnock believes Campbell could not have had a more difficult start in the dug-out.
"I don’t think you could pick two harder jobs in football really but you have to take your hat off to him," Warnock told Quest TV.
"He’s gone in there, he’s obviously going to do his best and that’s all you can do under the circumstances.
"But Saturday (beating Bristol Rovers) would have been one of his better days and the young lads have done him proud."
Warnock should certainly know plenty about management too having had close to 1,500 games in charge during a lengthy career which has seen him boss a number of clubs including Sheffield United, Notts County and Cardiff City
