FORMER FC Clacton striker Adam Hampson is joining Tendring neighbours Harwich and Parkeston.
The front man left the Seasiders earlier this week but has now agreed to sign for the Shrimpers.
The news was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon and Hampson, who has also played for the likes of Halstead Town and Wivenhoe Town, now looks set to make his debut in Saturday's match at home to Lopes Tavares.
"We're over the moon to sign Adam," said Harwich manager Mike Wallace.
"It's been refreshing talking to him and his attitude has been first class.
"He wants to enjoy his football and feels this is a positive place to be.
"He can see we're trying to build something and wants to be part of it.
"Adam's saying all the right things and ticking all the right boxes.
"It's a big, exciting signing for us and shows we're going in the right direction.
"Hopefully his professionalism and ability to score goals will help us push on in the second half of the season."
Hampson's departure from Clacton was confirmed on Monday.
"Everyone knows about Adam's quality," added Wallace, whose side are 11th in Thurlow Nunn League first division south after Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Coggeshall Town.
"He's a class act and everyone knows what a good striker he is.
"He knows where the back of the net is but he's also got a coaching background, which means he'll be a leader out on the pitch.
"He's professional in everything he does and he'll certainly give us a killer instinct in front of goal."
