SOL Campbell felt Blues could have been awarded a penalty in Saturday’s draw with Tranmere Rovers.

The Shrimpers screamed for a spot-kick when Rovers goalkeeper Aaron Chapman appeared to push Tom Hopper when looking to deal with a high clearance from Peter Clarke.

And Campbell thought it could easily have been given.

“Technically if you look at it, it’s a free-kick,” said Campbell.

“It is what it is.

“You can say he was playing for it or whatever. But technically it’s a free-kick.”
