Brentford midfielder Josh Dasilva will be hoping for more of the same when he returns to Millwall on Sunday – the place where he scored his first professional goal.

That was a superb curling effort to earn a point in a 1-1 draw back in 2018/19 but the Bees will arrive at The Den in search of all three points on Sunday as they look to stay third in the Championship table.

Millwall have lost just once in their last nine but Thomas Frank’s side put in a dominant performance on Thursday in a 3-1 victory over Swansea while Ollie Watkins added another two goals to his collection this season.

“Hopefully I can get another one there but of course first and foremost you always want to be getting the three points,” said the former Arsenal man.

“We will need all our focus on Sunday because it will be tough just like every other game and they will bring their own difficulties.

“We are literally just taking it game by game at the moment because we know how difficult this league can be.”

Bees boss Frank has watched his star striker Watkins fire home 15 league goals so far this season but has been more impressed with the team’s defence of late and believes that aspect of their game has been the biggest improvement.

“We controlled that game from the first minute to the last minute but were a little bit flat at times but that’s just part of the game,” Frank said after the Boxing Day Swansea win.

“I told the boys before the game that the team that defends better will win the game and that is the biggest difference for us this season.”
