A POPULAR coffee shop has closed its doors after two-and-half years.
Phoenix Coffee House in London Road, Brighton, claimed to be the city's "first retro revival coffee shop".
It offered customers the chance to play videogames on old school consoles as they enjoyed their beverage.
But a notice currently on the door of the coffee house states: "Hello Brighton. Unfortunately Phoenix Coffee House has had to close its doors.
"We would like to thank all our customers and friends who visited over the last two-and-a-half years.
"You made this place special.
"We will hopefully see you soon."
The company's status is currently listed as active on Government website Companies House.
On its TripAdvisor page it has four views which all awarded it five stars out of five.
One visitor, who went to the cafe in January this year, said: "The staff here are very friendly and amenable, the coffee is good, and the food is great too.
"I love the games consoles they have here - it's always good to have a quick game of Mario Kart with your coffee."
Another customer added: "One of the best things about Brighton is the independently owned businesses.
"I would usually go into a Costa but when I visit Brighton I always pop into Phoenix Coffee House where the iced coffee is so much better.
"Not every town is lucky enough to be home to such a unique cafe."
