LIFEBOAT crews rescued a water biker stranded in the mud off St Osyth.
Clacton RNLI’s D Class lifeboat was launched to the aid of the man at about 4.30pm on Sunday.
The lifeboat launched into a 10mph south westerly wind after reports of a water biker stuck in the mud near Point Clear.
Crew spokesman Richard Wigley said: “After a choppy passage, the volunteer crew located the stricken jet ski at the northern end of Ray Creek.
“The casualty was towed to Point Clear, where they were met by the Coastguard mobile unit.
“An ambulance had been requested by the helmsman due to the length of time the jet skier had been stranded in the open, and a language barrier made it very difficult for the crew to undertake a proper assessment.
“One of the coastguards, through a third party translating, managed to ascertain everything was OK and the ambulance was cancelled.”
