Man charged with assaulting police officer after attack at hotel
A MAN has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker after a reported attack at a hotel in Clacton.
Wayne Hopkins, 37, is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Monday, August 12, following reports of a disturbance at a hotel in Colne Road.
Essex Police responded to reports a man and a police officer were assaulted at around 4.15pm on Wednesday.
Hopkins, of Avon Way, Colchester, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
