Shakespeare Abridged! Frinton Summer Theatre. Until Saturday, August 3. 01255 676656.
FRINTON’S Summer Theatre was treated to a riotous night of laughter as a lively trio put on the exhilarating Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged!).
The daunting - and hilarious - task to put on all 38 plays in one evening is no mean feat.
But it was wonderfully, boisterously performed by Frinton newcomers Will Bridges, Tom Gabriel and William Meredith.
The iconic piece of modern theatre by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield was first performed by a wacky trio of Americans in California.
It went on to take the Edinburgh Festival and later the West End by storm.
This show has retained that energy and was joyful merriment for Shakespeare lovers - with wit, charm and plenty of laughs.
Bridges, Gabriel and Meredith were equally brilliant and worked perfectly together to take on cacophony of characters... with a little help from the audience.
Credit goes to director Matt Rippy for a wonderful production that had the audience in stitches throughout.
