KNIFE-WIELDING robbers snatched a wallet from a man outside a bank in Clacton.

The victim was approached by three men outside Natwest bank, in Station Road, shortly before 10.45pm on Wednesday.

He was threatened with a knife and had his wallet, which contained a three-figure sum of cash, and other items stolen.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "One of the men has been described to us as a slim, bald, white man in his 40s and was wearing a dirty grey tracksuit.

"Another of the men has also been described to us as white and wearing dark clothing."

Police say the victim suffered no serious injuries in the incident.
