A SELFLESS eight-year-old is matching her age in inches for a charity hair chop.
The girl, from Colchester, is raising money for the Little Princess Trust.
The charity makes wigs out of real hair for children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or terminal illness.
The girl, who attends Friars Grove Primary School, wants to chop off her hair for the charity.
She has already smashed her £100 goal, but wants to raise as much money as possible.
Her Parents said: “She should hopefully be able to donate about eight inches.
“Anybody who knows her well will know how much she absolutely adores her long hair.
“She’s been aiming for Rapunzel-length hair since she could talk, so this is a big deal for her. But she said ‘It seems silly having all my hair when I could share it with somebody who needs it and will make them feel happier’.”
Her nan went through hair loss following cancer treatment and used a wig, so she would like to help others in the same way.
