PLANNERS could be given more time to negotiate over plans for 84 new homes in Alresford.
Detailed blueprints for 84 new homes north of Cockaynes Lane have already been approved by Tendring Council.
Taylor Wimpey previously won an appeal for plans for 60 homes on the site after they were originally turned down by Tendring Council.
But the developer decided to apply to the council to increase the number of properties and the plans were approved by the planning committee last September.
Planners will now ask the committee for another three months to conclude negotiations over affordable housing and contributions towards the cost of eduction, heath care and public open space.
A report said: " While progress has been made on the legal agreement it was not completed within the
given timescale and therefore an extension until September 11 is sought."
A decision on the extension will be made by the committee on June 11.
