A LIBRARY has been officially opened at a school in Great Oakley.
All Saints Primary School has been busy renovating an old classroom to transform it into a library for its students.
With the work now complete a grand opening event was held on Wednesday, May 1.
It was attended by students as well as the Harwich mayor Charlie Powell.
As well as hundreds of books to absorb in the new facility, youngsters can also relax on beanbags as they read.
All Saints Primary School posted on its Facebook page: "We would like to thank everyone for coming to the library opening, it was lovely see so many people there.
"We are grateful to RJ Thompson, author of The Uncuddibles who spent the day in school talking to the children.
"Thank you to the PTA team, the mayor and mayoress, Butter Cakes and Sweets for the cake donations and all the children for the books that have been donated."
The opening was held at 3.15pm.
