NEIGHBOURS Maldon and Tiptree and Heybridge Swifts are set to meet in a mouthwatering Bostik League play-off final at Park Drive.
The pair both progressed after winning their respective north division semi-final ties on Wednesday night.
Swifts booked their place after a 2-0 victory at second-placed Aveley.
Julian Dicks' side, who finished fifth in the table, managed a goal in each half, with Daniel Walker's early opener followed by a stoppage-time second from Matthew Price.
The match was marred by no less than three red cards, just before the hour-mark.
Heybridge substitute Charlie Kendall was shown a second yellow for a foul on ex-Swifts man Adam Bailey-Dennis.
It sparked an ugly melee and he was immediately followed back to the dressing rooms by team-mate Emmanuel Osei-Owusu and Aveley's Sam Bantick.
The match was watched by a bumper crowd of 573 at Parkside.
Meanwhile, Wayne Brown's Maldon, who finished third, were in action against fourth-placed Coggeshall Town and Eddie-Louis Dsane's 59th-minute goal proved all-important as the Jammers won 1-0.
A crowd of 494 watched the match at Park Drive.
As a result of both games, Maldon will now entertain arch rivals Swifts in the final on Sunday afternoon.
Kick-off at Park Drive is at 3pm.
