A PARALYMPIAN is nearly half way towards raising enough funds to qualify for Tokyo 2020.

Great British swimmer Ryan Crouch launched an online fundraising page to fundraise enough money to help him cover the costs of his quest to qualify in the Paralympics next year.

The 25-year-old, from Lawford, made his Paralympic debut for his country in the Rio 2016 Paralympics where he achieved eighth place in the 50 metre freestyle race.

Following the success in Rio Ryan, who has cerebral palsy, decided to start training himself ahead of Tokyo 2020.

Non-funded athlete Ryan is aiming to raise £2,500 which will help cover the costs of his equipment, travel and accommodation.

So far Ryan's raised nearly £800.
