A motorist who was nearly twice the drink-drive limit has been banned from getting behind the wheel.
Adam Daniel, 26, admitted to driving while under the influence of alcohol when appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court last week.
Daniel, of Codham Mill Lane, Shalford, was found with 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped by police in his home village on December 1.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates handed Daniel a 17-month driving ban which will be reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a driving course.
He was also fined £402 and ordered to pay a further £365 in costs.
